My 2023 Travel Recap

2023 was an incredible year for me when it comes to travel. I spent the entire year traveling around the world, exploring many new cities, countries, and even a new continent! I spent a lot of time and money on flights, train rides, and even driving to one destination. I'm very thankful I have the ability to travel full-time, and I'm taking advantage of every minute of it.
Here's a recap of my 2023 travel:
In 2023 alone, I traveled to 25 cities in 10 different countries across 3 different continents. Every destination was new to me with the exception of Washington DC, which I lived in for almost 7 years before becoming a digital nomad — but I stopped in many times in-between travels, so I'm counting it as a destination since I no longer live there. I also didn't count it in these stats, but I also went to my hometown a few times.
2023 North American Travel Destinations
Let's start with traveling around North America since this is where I started the year. A lot of people think about North American travel being the US, but there's so much more to it.
In North America, I traveled to:
- Cancun, Mexico
- Washington DC
- Tucson, Arizona
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- San Juan, Puerto Rico
2023 European Travel Destinations
Next up, I spent about 3 months during the Summer traveling around Europe, making my way from the southern island of Malta, up through Italy, around the Swiss Alps, and up through Germany where I flew back to the US. I learned Summer was not the best time to travel to Catania, but I made the most of the trip anyways.

2023 South American Travel Destinations
To round out the year and end in a new continent that's a warm destination, I hopped on a plane and headed south — far enough south to go where December is considered a Summer month! This is just the first of many South American destinations!
In South America, I traveled to:
- Lima, Peru
2024 has already kicked off with me starting the year in Lima, and I've already booked another destination in Peru to follow. Cheers to more adventures and more destination in the new year!
