About my time in Switzerland
For many years, Switzerland stayed at the top of my list of most desired countries to go to. But then I got a message from one of my college friends who asked if I wanted to meet her there for a vacation in the summer of 2023. She was planning a vacation in Italy and Switzerland with her family but had a week in Switzerland where she was going to be by herself. so she asked if I wanted to join in, and I said yes.
She planned majority of the trip, and I showed up. We had a very packed itinerary where we moved from City to City every few days. In just one week we went to four different cities. we started with one night in Zermatt, 3 nights in Grindelwald, 2 nights in Lucerne, and one night in Bern. She made her way back home to South Korea, and I made my way to the next country, Germany.
Zermatt & The Matterhorn
Taking the Matterhorn bahn up to Gornergrat was truly an unforgettable experience! I actually almost skipped out because of the price, but it was well worth it.
Grindelwald & the Jungfrau region
To the top of Europe I go! This area was not short of amazing! There are so many hikes you can do, different regions to get to by cable cars, and incredible views in every direction. My only regret is not spending longer here.
Lucerne
A truly beautiful town with so many incredible experiences in the surrounding area! Just a short ferry ride away is Mount Rigi and Stanserhorn.
